Emerging local label Layplan launch their first full collection in store at Saben for two days only.
October 17 & 18, Auckland – Saben have invited Layplan to pop up for the weekend in their Ponsonby boutique. Offering a first look at Layplan’s hero pieces from their new collection launching online Monday 19 October. Layplan customers will be able to revel in the opportunity to touch, try on and buy new styles in person ahead of the online release.
Part of an initiative in support of the industry and women in business. “It’s about creating deliberate opportunities to encourage emerging brands. Lavinia and Talia are so talented.” Says Saben founder and designer Roanne Jacobson “If 2020 has taught us anything it’s about the strength of community and the importance of supporting local”.
The synergy between brands can be peeled back to their design pillars. Jacobson explains “We were originally drawn to Layplan for their confident use of colour, sculptural silhouettes and interesting textures – all things that mirror our own design ethos.” Saben have borrowed pieces to pair with their handbags for photoshoots, and it’s their shared considered approach to effortless style that will translate to customers in store. “The easy-wear of Layplans iconic over-sized silhouette and easy-care nature of their fabrics is advantageous to our customers who are managing the chaos and complexities of modern day life.”
Young designers Lavinia and Talia will be in store over the weekend and can offer bespoke variations on the current offer and made-to-order pieces.
Layplan pops up in store at Saben on Saturday 17 October 10am – 5pm and Sunday 18 October 10am - 4pm.
