Recharge >>> Breakfast Watercress Jl Batu Belig For some breakfast goodness and the perfect coffee, head to this expat local. To say they take their coffee seriously would be an understatement. “Most importantly we always pour a double ristretto. Simply put, it's a single shot of coffee passing through a double hit of coffee grind... it means we only get pure golden crema goodness which makes for the best coffee, full of oils, aroma, richness and taste that a single shot won't give you” Obsessed?.. only a little. Tucked slightly outside of seminyak it is hidden form the bustle, Polenta, poached eggs or Salmon and dill on sourdough are all bursting with flavour and goodness to start your day! Shop >>> Oberoi Hit up the boutiques on Oberoi, we LOVE Prisoners of St Petersburg and Shakuhachi as well as From, The People Vs. and Maiden Love. Shop up a storm then head back to your accommodation for a swim and freshen up before you head to the best rice paddy on the island! Lunch >>> Sardine Lunch at Sardine is a dream, the mood is as divine as the menu. Sardine is the result of the journey of love between a chef and an interior designer. Housed in a bamboo structure overlooking endless working rice paddies, the menu is ever changing depending on the mornings catch; it is light, fresh and so very tasty. The cuisine is as inspired as the décor. Always on the floor the owners are delightful but meticulous, charming yet discreet and sophisticated but totally down to earth. Poolside >>> Mosaic Beach Club Jump in a cab and head back past Naughty Nuri’s to the Mosaic Beach Club, enjoy the pool meters from the sand and relish in the delight of gastronomic cocktails in the fresh sea breeze as you watch another amazing island sunset. Soak it up and if you enjoy your pool side snacks – stay for fine dining dinner. BUT we highly recommend you lock in a pedicure back at body works (you have been on your feet all day!) then skip across the road to another happy place. Taco Time >>> Motel Mexicola New on Seminyak’s eat-scene is Motel Mexicola, bringing you the best in kitsch Mexican celebration, this place is vibrant, fun with a story being told on in every corner, on every wall and surface. It is a visual feast – matched by the menu which is as authentic as the Mexican chef that helped Adrian and his wife (from Mexican merry land, Rojo in Avoca Beach fame). Teeny taco’s make for great tasting as does the guacamole, street corn and ceviche. We highly recommend the tuna tostadita – mini morsels of tuna drizzled with a chipotle mayo and served with sesame seeds and coriander… partnered with a simply perfect mojito and you will be stuffed and chuffed amigos! IF you have longer than 48hours in Seminyak, we suggest drawing out your visits to the beach clubs - easily become 3 days by the pool, 1 solid day to shop, indulge at body works every second day, hit the beach and have a bintang in one of the beach front shacks and add Mama San and MerahPutih to your dinner itinerary.
